Detroit City Football League acquired my design services to create a graphic for their annual summer soccer tournament, and I ended up making designs for two of them consecutively.

The first graphic I produced contains figures reminiscent of the figures painted in Matisse’s famous “Dance” artwork.

I thought this would evoke a familiar feeling for the viewer, and give the design a timeless artistic quality.

The second design plays off of the first with a slight change in design and color. I wanted to keep a similar feel so as to establish a recognizable style pattern for the same tournament over the years.
